Our society has the mind set that women should only have certain places in this world, but we as women need to encourage each other as well as help reform the ways that society thinks about us. We are looking for women with dreams, who are in the beginning, middle and end of the businesses. Women who are willing to share their experiences. We want women who have created an idea and want to expound on it. Writers, poets, artists. Women who were inspired by their children to write their first children's book. Women who are tired of going into the work place and want to stay at home to raise their children but can't because they are single parents.


The 2nd semi annual Empowering Women's Event. This event will target women from all racial backgrounds. The date will be August 18 th 2007.
The first Empowering Womens Event held February 17th, 2007 was fabulous. We had two girl bands and two female rappers and one Neo soul artist,television coverage, great networking, awesome vendors and talented writers and poets and motivational speakers. We are looking for vendors, food vendors, motivational speakers, poets, writers, artists. The event will be held in NoDa area.CHARLOTTE NORTH CAROLINA The vending table will cost $50.00. Empowering Women Workshop

Charlotte, N.C.—Robin Bird Productions, Phamily Lyfe Photos and Invitations By Sappho proudly present the Empowering Women Workshop on August 18, 2007.

Event creator Robin Shakir is excited about the 2nd Semi-Annual event for women in the Charlotte Multi-Cultural community this event is primarily focused on getting women together to spend the day sharing stories of struggles, joy and power with one another. "We need a day, a place, and event to just bring ourselves, our stories, our art, our expressions and just be. We have lined up incredible speakers, artist and vendors to fill this day up with enlighten celebration" Shakir said.

The event is being moved from Freedom drive to the NODA District 2901 N. Davidson Street, the event will go from Noon—10pm. There will be vendors to sell food and drinks as well as artisans who will feature their goods.

Come join us for a day of empowerment, our featured sisters include, poets, motivational speakers, artists, writers and so much more. We hope to see you there.
