Exam Center: Philadelphia Exam Date: 19.May.2006 Result: Passed Weeks for Result: 4wks My Experience: i read for abt 15days-uw and FA,no study partner..if possible get one! the day of the exam was very smooth.time flew..the management was very organised and helpful..and the pds are oscar winners!! there was enough time to take the history(7min) 3-4 min of exam and 2-3 min of closure.wht i did was take abt 20sec outside wrote d/d s and then entered,it worked a lot to my advantage since it helped a continuity in questioning.kept a fixed protocol of -draping b4 even i started talking , -washing hands as soon as dun with history -and i did one thing more-clean the bell of my sthetho with alcohol bell each time.. -talk continuous as to wht u r doin(a pd asked me wht i was doin when i forgot to tell him that i was percussing!)..all said and dun its a cool exam..where all u got to do is be in ur right mind...not a nervous wreck!everyone was friendly...no problem My Advice & My Errors: try go a day in advance n stay in a hotel..if u stay far since it does calm ur nerves..eat right b4 u go..rest u get to eat good but cold stuff there!! haha...dont forget to do mmse in confused " somethings amiss i am not myself" patients..and gait too...be urslf try not to fumble unnecessarily...u r champ! my errors--i forgot to drape in the first case but rememmbered in btw--so tried covering up and said--this feels better right mrs----" write down main -ve and+ve history when u r in..i forgot the duration of a symptom when i didnt write it!! take ur protein drink and a med in case u get headaches n stuff...! i did..it helped ... My Stay / Cost / Travel to Center: i stayed in Bed and Breakfast cornerstone ,reached there the night b4(good since it rained the nxt morning!!)..it was pretty good ...10min away walking...was with my brother,so arent sure of the price but i guess had to be somewhere btw--110-140..
