Exam Center: Atlanta Exam Date: 30.August.2006 Result: Passed Weeks for Result: 6 My Experience: I had afternoon session, which ended around 10:30 or 11 PM. the cases were typical of usmle world and first aid. I struggled in first 2-3 cases and missed a lot of questions.. but then it got better. My Advice & My Errors: I studied very lightly for 1.5 weeks and practiced over the phone with a partner for about 10 days. spent about 3-5 hours per day, because i work full time.. I used both First aid and usmle world. I also printed everything on CS from DIGITALDOC website and read it once. Before the exam I thought I had practiced enough, but during the test, I wished I had practiced more. Everyone emphasizes this and I wish I listened to my predescessors more... DUe to nervousness and lack of practice I didn't use LIQORAAA or PAMHUGSFOSS consistently in every case. So I missed many questions and exams. I generally performed exams very quickly and very superficially to save time.. My strong points were communication, empathy, politeness, and medical notes. I always remembered draping, washing hands, & smiling. My Stay / Cost / Travel to Center: around 150 was spent on Amtrak from Washington DC + another 100 on hotel in downtown Phili which I booked through priceline. The travel and hotel stay was great. only the exam was stressful.. :-) Name : vince
