Exam Center: Chicago Exam Date: 23.October.2008 Result: Waiting Weeks for Result:   My Experience: The experience was great at the chicago centre. Proctors are really helpful and they make sure you feel comfortable before the exam starts. I just tried to follow all the parts of communication skills very carefully, being an IMG it is undoubtedly the most difficult part of the exam to pass and needs special care while preparation and final show. Just ask basic history questions, PAMHUGSFOSS and dont try to go in much detail into history or examination as its the relative completeness of the encounter that matters the most rather than doing individual parts perfectly. I was able to finish all the encounters at time. My Advice & My Errors: Try and relax, talk to people around about non exam issues,have good night sleep cos your ability to speak and to assess wat is being spoken both are severely affected if you are tensed. I was not able to think about D/Ds and investigations cos may be i did not practice writing PN much. Also i think practicing with a protocol in mind helps alot cos that ways you dont think before speaking and the sentences for history taking just reflexly flows while conversing. My Stay / Cost / Travel to Center: i stayed in Garden ohare hotel costed me aroung $80 a day. They provide free shuttle to and fro the airport and also the exam centre is 5 mins walking from the hotel. taking a walk to the centre a day before your exam decreases anxiety on the exam day They provided with Iron to press your labs and clothes and also the hotel is great but does not provide breakfast(you will have to dish out $6 for buffet breakfast).
