Exam Center: Houston Exam Date: 26.June.2007 Result: Passed Weeks for Result: 6-7 wks My Experience: well ... Houston was a friendly center... nothing new ..all happened as expected.. READ DIGIDOC'S CS PROTOCOLS ... there are some really good tips in it... My Advice & My Errors: bottomline ......... if u do the following .. accurately and ache se.. more than half of your work is done.These are some practical points u need to remember in order to pass... but these are apart from the reading stuff... FA cases + some cases from Usmle world like like sickle cell,knee pain,shoulder pain are a must. 1.avoid blunders... (not doing wat is stated below)- pnts r not arranged in order.*** 2.Write all mnemonics before entering the room... bhale hi .. 1 minute lag jaye..PAMHUGFOSSA (end ka A for apetite) and FLIQUORAA(shuru ka F for frequency).Kuch bhi bhul jao,but dont forget to ask the above... it will cover 70 percent of history. 6.ask for water if coughs ...and give tissue if cries.If in distress ...tell that as soon as the examination is over .. ill get u pain killers 7 believe me , full physical examination is not very imp... even if u do 60 percent of the examination correctly ..it will suffice. 9. not repeating painful physical examination is a must ..but more imp is LETTING THE PATIENT KNOW THAT U WONT REPEAT THE PAINFUL PROCEDURES.tell him .. i wont repeat this again ... and am sorry. 10.end well.. even if u dont have time ... CUT SHORT THE PHYSICAL ... NOT THE ENDING LECTURE... while taking history ...rough paper ke neeche wale part mein just note down points for end ka counselling ... i mean h/o smoking/diabetic/ht/drugs/social issue etc ..so that u wont forget wat to counsel in the end 11. always ask if he/she has some more questions.. 12.SMILE AS IF U R THE MOST CHARMING PERSON ON EARth My Stay / Cost / Travel to Center:   Name : c.vivek lall
