| Exam Center: | Los Angeles | Exam Date: | 23.August.2007 | Result: | Waiting | Weeks for Result: | 4-6 | My Experience: | Hello Every body.Just came back from LA after completing my CSA.I dont know where to start but it was very much the same as this site describes it.Common cases, mixed up patients.
I got about four patients where I had to do the neuro exam. Well at the end i was able to finish them in time.In one case i was not sure about the diagnoses. All together were 12 cases.I was able to come out a min earlier. | My Advice & My Errors: | I would like to add that its not the exam by it self but the anxiety of the exam which push u to make errors.
In the first case i was feeling a kind of nervous but as the cases go along the anxiety was over. I cannot predict what would be the result but for now i have to sit back tight, pray & wait for the result. I made certain error as in one case while i was drapping the pt i opened in full length & its start hanging down to the floor before i noticed that I saw the pt fixing it him self so jump ahead & said sorry & fixed the drape again.
I knocked the door, call the pt name, introduced my self, made an eye contact, drape the pt, washed my hand, summarize at the end of history & give a closure at the end in all cases. | My Stay / Cost / Travel to Center: | I stayed at Hacienda hotel 2.5 block away from the exam center. It cost me 99$ +tax. One advise is to do a prior reservation in the hotel as that night it was sold out & i asked the manager & she said "we are sold out every night for the last 2 months" .
So be aware as there are no motels close by. | Name : | Sam |
