Exam Center: Los Angeles Exam Date: 16.July.2008 Result: Failed Weeks for Result: 11 My Experience: I couldn't complete most of the cases.i think that was the main problem.I scored extremely low on information sharing part of CIS.I passed in all other subcomponents. My Advice & My Errors: I didn't prepare well.i had only 1 and half weeks prepration which i felt was not enough and my confidence level was low on the exam date.practice well with a partner i felt that if i had practised more i would not have ran out of time.Each component is important.since i couldn't complete most encounters i couldn't explain to patients about the diagnosis and plan.also i couldn't do the counselling part in most cases.My advise is to practice well.be thorough abt the cases and the method and try to finish the encounters in time. I feel that we should cover every aspect in an encounter even if we are not perfect. My Stay / Cost / Travel to Center: I stayed at the Double Tree hotel at walkable distance from the center.the stay was ok but was costly. Name : peelu
