Exam Center: Los Angeles Exam Date: 1.July.2006 Result: Passed Weeks for Result: 6 weeks My Experience: the proctors r cool they provide u with white coat if u dont have one.we had two breaks one for lunch and one for refreshment and a snack.i felt all the sp are good and they act very well most of them r smiling unless they r acting as if they r in pain its more than enough if u do usmle world.for the first case i felt the time wasnt sufficient but the rest were ok most of the time i just finished when the it was anounced that we have to leave the room except for cns case which i didnt get suffucient time but i counselled him in a line. My Advice & My Errors: dont panic if u r short of time stay cool be bold talk with compassion show empathy and read all the mnemonics and pieces of advise in this site.i felt the tunning forks were real hard they werent vibrating at all thank god i cleared and thank you digi doc for this wonderfull site of yours.if u ve done some mistake in one case leave it there dont carry the feeling that u ve gone wrong to next case i felt i did that.i forgot to put the gown back on one patient dont do that the sp was giving me a clue while i was summarising the history but i didnt realise it untill i came out of the room.and regarding otoscope and ophthalmoscope it is easy just act as if ur seeing and keep telling them what u r looking for.practice practice and practice a lot as ur questions should keep flowing we cant stand blank and think what next out there so be thorough with the book u read.i felt i missed a lot of question with the phone case.u ll do well be confident and good luck.
