| Exam Center: | Los Angeles | Exam Date: | 29.July.2009 | Result: | Passed | Weeks for Result: | 10 | My Experience: | This was the 2nd time I was giving the CS. I did not see ANY difference between my twin experiences, except for the fact that the first time I studied from the First Aid book, whereas the 2nd time, I read the Kaplan Step 2 CS book. One word of advice - although the FA has some great cases, it is ABSOLUTELY misleading. The checklist is incomplete, the patient notes are sub standard, and there aren't enough variety of cases. Anyone out there taking this exam lightly thinking they have a good proficiency in English - watch out. That is required, but a TEXTBOOK ENACTMENT OF THE HISTORY TAKING AND EXAMINATION IS REQUIRED TOO. They don't care whether you KNOW what the diagnosis is, or if you are an excellent skilled doctor.
The important thing is - ACT WELL. Carry out the history taking and examination AS IT IS IN THE TXTBK. Thats it.
By the way, this is one of the most worthless exams the USMLE is conducting right now - hand down. | My Advice & My Errors: | | My Stay / Cost / Travel to Center: | Stayed at the Hacienda - costly. | Name : | |
