Exam Center: Chicago Exam Date: 23.March.2010 Result: Waiting Weeks for Result:   My Experience: the proctors r very cooperative.cases are simple and straightfoward.i did feel nervous after the exam as i realised that did forget councelling about addictions in a case, missed a DD,forgot to mention apositive physical finding in a case etc. My Advice & My Errors: i would suggestfor each symptom do DDs,focused examination required, make your own notes on this learn it well.then search a partner and do at least 20 cases with patient note writing in a timed manner.ask all qs to the SP in the exam.there are atleast 3 obvious DDs hidden in each case. u will only get them donot misss any component of history taking, eg some DD is hidden in dietary history, some in hospitalisation history, some in surgical etc.u really have to extract information from them.they r well trained and do their job really well.u have to be throughly prepared to do everything on time and smart enough to extract the DDs.all the best and take the exam seriously, it is not that easy as i had heard.i would conclude by saying be polite, clean and professional.ALL THE BEST!!!
