| Abstract (about 50 words): | Postgenderism, as an offshoot of transhumanist thought, advocates transcending the gender binary through application of advanced technologies. Due to ethical and moral restraints, postgenderist ideas can currently only be brought to life in works of contemporary science fiction, which, being an example of Baudrillard’s third order simulacra, nevertheless offers unique insight into potentially genderless societies of the future. |
