Abstract (about 50 words): | Starting from the premise that Munro’s fiction encompasses larger than life issues and that gender and identity are ever-changing concepts, the present paper aims to explore the complex articulation of gendered identities in Alice Munro’s collected stories. Focusing on particular tales from the collection, I will attempt to examine representations of identity that problematize the borderline between self and otherness. |
