After opening the plastic case, you'll see a thin metal casing, which is kinda hard to remove (don't be afraid to bend it). It's made out of two metal shells, that overlap each other, and the way I removed it is by prying it open a little, then putting a coin in there and rolling it to separate them. The LCD and the backlight both have yet another metal shell, so they won't be damaged. Every part is very easy to separate from the control board (simply unplug it), and the board itself can be unscrewed from the frame, so there's no need to cut or break anything. However, the thin plastic circuit that comes out of the monitor is very easily damaged (I damaged mine), so be very careful with it. |

Another review said this monitor has no ffc issue. Well it DOES HAVE a ffc issue.
Anyway more in general some brand mount different types of panels on their lcds. Mine has a chimei-something panel and it HAS ffc issue. (not fixable) |
